Areas of Expertise

  • Perinatal Mental Health

Pregnancy and postpartum is one of the most unique time in an individual’s life. You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Therapy for perinatal mental health offers a supportive space to process the emotional shifts that come with pregnancy and early parenthood, including postpartum anxiety, identity changes, and navigating expectations of motherhood. I help clients feel understood, build coping strategies, and find steadiness during these transitions.

  • Anxiety & Perfectionism

Anxiety and perfectionism often show up together — especially during major life changes like pregnancy, parenting, career transitions, or relational stress. You may look competent on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or self-critical inside. Together, we work to understand the roots of your anxiety and the internal pressure you place on yourself, and develop practical tools to reduce worry, set boundaries, and support a more balanced, compassionate relationship with yourself.

  • Parenting Support

Parenting brings deep joy and deep challenge — especially with young children. Support in therapy can help you navigate overwhelm, self-doubt, relational shifts, and emotional demands that arise in the early parenting years. Whether you’re managing transitions into parenthood or balancing care for children with your own needs, therapy provides space to be heard, understand patterns, and strengthen coping skills.

Additional Areas of Care:

  • Anxiety & mood concerns that affect daily functioning

  • Trauma-informed care and support through past or recent stressful experiences

  • Relationship challenges including communication patterns and emotional connection

  • LGBTQ+ clients with unique identity experiences

Mindfulness & Mind-Body Support

In addition to evidence-based therapy, I integrate mindfulness and body-based practices into my work when appropriate. As a certified yoga teacher, I bring specialized training in nervous system regulation and stress reduction to support clients experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, and postpartum adjustment.

Mindfulness in therapy can include learning how to:

  • Notice and respond to anxious thoughts with greater awareness

  • Recognize signs of stress in the body

  • Develop grounding practices for pregnancy and postpartum

  • Build self-compassion when perfectionism feels loud

  • Create space between intense emotions and reaction

This approach supports not just insight, but embodied relief — helping you feel calmer, steadier, and more connected to yourself.
