Setting Boundaries - Friday October 25, 2024
Boundary setting is not something that comes naturally for all of us. Having poor boundaries can significantly impact our mental health, relationships, and overall satisfaction with life. That is why in this workshop you will leave equipped with new skills on how to establish and maintain healthy boundaries. We will review what boundaries are, the different types, and why it is important to establish and maintain healthy boundaries. The workshop will include a boundary mapping experience where using guided meditation we visualize what our current boundaries are and what we might need them to be. Participants will have the chance to work together to practice effective communication skills and ask questions about what to do about boundary violations.
Exploring Psychology and Motherhood - Saturday October 26, 2024
Motherhood is a transformative journey that can be filled with joy and personal growth, but it also comes with tremendous obstacles and challenges. In this workshop, we will consider the intersection between motherhood, psychology, and yoga to gain a more holistic approach to support the wellbeing of mothers/birthing people. Participants can expect to learn new information and insights related to their identity as a mother, techniques for managing the stresses of parenthood, and how to become a “good enough” parent no matter the stage of their child’s life. This workshop will include a guided self-reflection journaling experience and mindful meditation to help foster self-compassion and care as an essential component of parenting.
